Media & Speaking Engagements
Work with our Founder, Angela Cochrane
Angela Cochrane is a regional childcare advocate, Senate submission author, and Founder of The Future Care Project — a Queensland-based social enterprise working to make childcare access a reality in regional, rural and remote Australia. Angela brings unfiltered community evidence and practical solutions to stages, panels and microphones across the country. If you're looking for a speaker who will tell it straight about what's broken and what works, she's available for interviews, conferences, podcasts and panel appearances.

As a regional childcare advocate...
Angela loves sharing her knowledge to empower regional communities, engaging and inspiring audiences with practical evidence and honest conversation about the real cost of childcare failure in rural Australia.
Topics of Speciality — Angela's most valuable topics to discuss include:
Why government datasets miss the real scale of childcare need in regional Australia — and what that costs families and employers
Invisible demand: no service, no waitlist, no recorded need — the data failure driving policy failure
Childcare as economic infrastructure — not a family welfare issue
Flexible care models (Family Day Care, In Home Care, In-Venue Care) and why they're the only viable option in regional communities
Community-led solutions: building evidence and local capacity from the ground up
The workforce and business skills gap holding regional childcare back
Women, work and regional economic resilience
Angela is available for a range of engagements including:
Keynote presentations
Conference and summit panels
Podcast and radio interviews
Media commentary and spokesperson roles
Workshop facilitation and community forums
Council and government briefings
About Angela
Angela Cochrane is a mum of three, business owner and Founder of The Future Care Project. After years of living and working in cities across Australia and overseas, moving to regional Queensland opened her eyes to the daily challenges families face when essential services like childcare simply don't exist.
What started as a personal experience became a mission. Over the past two years Angela has been collating data, conducting community research and developing practical, long-term solutions that support families and employers to access sustainable early childhood education and care in the regions.
Angela authored Submission 60 to the Senate Inquiry into the quality and safety of Australia's early childhood education and care system, and has partnered with regional LGAs, employers and community organisations across Queensland to build the evidence base that government datasets miss.
She brings a workforce and operational management lens — not an educator's lens — to a conversation that has been dominated for too long by people who have never had to live without access."For too long, regional families have been asked to do more with less. Our project is about changing that story."
